I do like the two door ones (and tourings strangely), and some of the wheels they've come up with look awesome!
Be interesting to see how they age.
I thought the E36 looked pretty good when it was current, but when the E46 came out it really showed up just how unnecessarily heavy the styling of the E36 was, and now the new generation's out, they seem to have disguised the weight and size even better.

looks overweight and weird.
Not a fan of new bmw's. The e46 was the last nice looking bmw imo.

TBH i dont think the E92 coupe is as nice as the E46 coupe, Its growing on me but still not entirerly keen. I think the 4 door salloon E90 is nice though, when its got bigger rims and the sport kit on.

Got to be my least favorite BMW. Nothing but a rep-mobile IMO, designed purely for the company car markets to rival mondeos and vectra's etc.
Same as the E46 4 doors, designed to be stuck in traffic with a suit at the wheel

the only current 3'er i like is the 335i touring.
coupe has a big bland arse, saloon looks like a taxi, but somehow the touring looks squat and agressive.
cheers,
harry

In the pictures the 335i coupe doesn't look all that.
In real life however they are georgous.
I can say I would definately buy one and may well do so in a year or so.

Bmw in general have really raised the bar recently with some of their products. E92/3's are sooo nice and the M3, well its just gonna fly out of the showrooms! My personal fav e90/1/2/3 has got to be the hartge H50 with M5's v10! Total lunacy!

i like the way bmw do this, when a car first comes out i don't really like it but a year or so later it starts to grow on me and i end up loving it ie. the e60
but jury's still out for this one

Great site, I built myself an M5 Touring in Alpinweiss with a towbar

E30 Touring 0.35 cD - more slippery than prison soap

New M3 is entirely underwhelming. Rather have an RS4 Avante.

The E46 saloon looks chubby and dated now and the E36 looks leaner and sharper. The E90 has just crucified the E46 although the E46 Coupe looks nice.
I love all this new Bangle Era BMW stuff. It's sharp and daring, and BMW couldn't go on making the same old thing for another 10 years. My fave is the pre facelift E65 745i in silver and factory 18's.

Mostly written by Autocar type spunkers who couldn't afford the door mirrors in a desperate attempt tp be controversial. Yeah, like BMW are going to turn out a turd? Every M3 made has been 'a bit crap' according to the press. The first one was noisy, basic and not vastly quicker than a 325i Sport, yet the E36 and E46 both 'lacked the purpose of the original".
Mainstream car mags aren't happy unless they're moaning about something. Don't forget that Autocar bitched about the E46 yet called the 2000 model Mondeo 'stunning'. In the real world (i.e buyers with money) as opposed to penniless road test w*nkers, the new M3 will be a very special car.

Agree with you there Andyboy. The E46 saloon has suddenly started to look a bit flabby and 4 doors seem to suit an E36 better. Can't say I'm a big fan of the E90, but both the E46 and E92 coupes look superb. The E92 looks simply stunning in the metal - a very stylish car.

I'm not sure about that crease running along the side, it makes the back wheel look small.
There is NO nucleus.
