well ive not been a zoner for long but would like to tell people a little bit about me.
well im 14 years old and when i bought my e30 i was 13!
i loved e30s for ages and have always wanted a car and well i spottet one on ebay in my area and nagged my dad untill!! YES i bought my first e30(i had a few cars before) i was one of the greatest days of my life! i live in lancashire and is hours away from any of these events you go to :( but when im 17 and driving you'll see my there!
ive done quite a bit on my e30 from when i bought it...
well it had no m.o.t so that was the first job (all it needed was a little t-joint for the washer pipe £3!)
then i wanted to go a little futher..
you'll think im a bit boy racerish but im not i just like a few sporty bits.
so some alloy wheels
new gear knob (bmw)
new e30 pre-cut mats (it had none)
m-tech 2 spoiler
new rear drums
i carryed out a full service (my self)
and many more macanical parts

at the moment i like it, with only very little rust and really good condion

the car..
bmw e30 1988 on a e reg
lots of history
110000 miles
great condition
its great any way so here are some pics..

on the pics the rear m tech spoiler isnt fitted.

what engine is it?

Looks minty mint!

Not so sure on those alloys... save up for some dished wheels and lower it a bit and you are one lucky 14 year old!

At 14 I had a mini... it broke after 20 minutes of driving round a field so we used it as somewhere to get stoned.

I bet your counting the days until your 17!

Car looks very tidy, good luck!

Id lower it a bit and thats about it.

2.0 or 2.5 will be sky high on insurance.

I've been getting quotes from around £800 for a 318i with a couple of mods, i live in a really bad area as well.

Welcome Joshua, a very prudent decision buying a car!! At your age I was smoking pot and taking lsd while helping myself to 5 finger discount at the local shops.

Max, the only reason your area is bad, is because you live there you deviant!

Looks great, very nice condition.

I was 16 when I bought my first car...a 1.8 E30 :D . Did all the mods like you ready for when I was 17, and I loved it.

Probably selling it on Saturday :( . E30's ARE addictive, im 18 and had to buy a 325i sport...making me bankrupt  .

When you drive it legally for the first time is the best feeling. Keep us updated.

Just a thought, is it possible to insure it now??

By the time you get to drive it, you'll have 4 years no claims!!

Oh, that sucks.

Shame you cannot get some sort of storgae insurance from Direct Line.

Why do you need a provisional? You never get asked for your driver number? Just need to prove ownership?

you have to be old enough to obtain a provisional unless you could always try putting yoour name on your dads insurance then get a policy when your old enough but with a named drivers discount

Not completely true, you can of course insure the vehicle for just fire and theft until you drive it, but may not accrue a no claims bonus on that insurance.

In fact to insure a vehicle you don't even need a licence, however if ou were to drive it whilt ineligable to drive you would be commiting an offence and your insurance would be void any way.

Well done, mate! A very clean car you've got there. You'll have good mechanical experience by the time you're old enough to drive.

My first car was a gold, Mk2 Escort with a cherry bomb exhaust and Wolf Race slot alloys! I made it into an RS2000 rep......those were the days
