Hi all
At the last Ace meet I had a nosey around Panesar's E30 Sport.
Inside in both footwells there is a white light that comes on when the doors are open. The lights are on the centre console not far from where the driver's left foot rest is and the passengers right foot would rest.
In the doors, below the locks are red lights on each door.
Are these standard? Is there wiring along the centre console for the footwell lights? How about the ones in the doors...can they be retrofitted to my 318i?
Does anyone else have these?
Lights in the footwell and in the doors

ive seen " Puddle Lights" on ford granadas, scorpios ... i dont think it would be that hard to retro fit them to your car, the hardest part i imagine would be cutting the bottom of the door to acomadate the light its self. wiring would be easy as its just 2 wires. one side to a 12v feed and the other to the door pin neg side . this would complete the circiut when the door was opened.
