Can anyone fathom a guess.
Put my amp back into cab yesterday after installer removed it to send back under warranty. Connected it all back up fine but left out the aerial wiring.
So i have three wires
1) One red one on its own connector
2) Two black ones on a single connector
Question is, if anyone can please help, which ones go where - power/ earth/ remote on amp as they are only just long enough to reach the amp so must have been connected to its terminals originally. (installer wont entertain unless i pay a half our charge for what they will tell me in a few seconds so i guess i am being a bit tight!)
TIA

The aerial should have 3 wires, sort of.
1 wire goes from the aerial straight to body for its ground, the next is usually a red wire and is a permanent live (I think)
The third wire is the switched live to tell the aerial to go up.
I have seen the switched wire in both white and black, you can trace these up the near side of the car to just behind the glovebox.
Hope that helps

Adam, have pm'd you
Thanks Andy, i am confused as to why the red is alone (not with a switched one) and the two blacks are together?.
Oh well, might have to pay them their money. There are so many wires in the car i will never be able to trace them back to the glovebox!
