And you thought your wings were bad... Turns out my car spent 17 years of its life in St Andrews, right next to the salty North sea...

on the plus side- she just needs new jacking points as inner wings are sound

you need a garage home boy!

Right had a good crack this evening after work, dash out, engine loom, stripped the boot down, all the stereo wiring (sp), heater matrix out and half the old Cobra alarm system which is a challenge as they fitted it pretty well to my eyes! They must of had fun installing it all those years ago.

Image
I originally thought this was aload of crap done on the engine loom, not so. It's the old alarm stuff. So i don't need another engine loom :)

Image
Why do people do nuts up so f**king tight?

Image
Boot stripped, theres som nice dents in the spare wheel well, how they got there i don't know!

Image
Labelling the car loom up as you can't remember everything- wicked tip given to me by Mr Oldskool 8)

Image
See the green tyre pressure sticker? Well it's a gay pina one. I need to get it off or cover it for the paintjob because you can't get them anymore! Any ideas on this fire away

Image
heater box out and dash. I looked at all those wires today and thought Jesus f**kin Christ. Forgive my rudeness, but the show will go on!

re the tyre pressure sticker

got my standard non gaypina one off by working at the corner with a stanley blade and then lifting off carefully.not as fragile as you would think but it might help to warm it with a hairdryer or heat gun if youre brave.

didnt buy a new one for mine as im a tightarse yorkshireman

Been a while but i have been busy! I knew there was a lot of work stripping but as always theres more to it than you think.

Image
doors stripped now and very light! passenger door is badly aligned i can see now as it never shut properly

In my quest to remove the cars entire wiring loom i've had to remove everything to get it out. Not for the faint hearted and giving me a fright about refitting it :? but the show will go on! So i dropped the prop, fuel tank and all the lines on Saturday.

Image
Nice dent......

Image
tank out and lots of space to sort new brake and fuel lines :) and any rust!

Image
filler neck and that all out now, Can you buy new stuff and goes through the metal whole? theres 3 pipes which slide into it. Sooooo much dirt wedged all in this area it was almost like concrete! It's not too bad here for rust either which is a relief just 2 plates needed me thinks

Image
Image

Image
Can you see the sky through the floorpan and sunroof?

Image
homo alert

Image
my goodness

Image
loom gone and all sound deadning (sp) plus pedal box

Image
Just the engine left to come out now, all nuts, clips etc all removed from the front end now aswell

So only engine to come out now car is ready for some rust removal, which should hopefully start in the next few weeks!
