how did you get the lens off?

I've struggled tonight to get the lens off one light by submersing it in hot, and I mean hot, water. This has worked when I did it on the mazda I had but it doesnt seem to shift the good old BMW adhesive.

Have I got to sue a paint stripping heat gun or are there other ways to get the lens off, cheers!! :D

still lying about somewhere :o:

I used a heatgun to do mine, well done 2 sets actually!
Patience is the key word when doing them, takes about 10-15 minutes to remove each lense :)

i popped them in the oven. 180°c for 20 mins with the lenses downwards. they then simply pop off.

the glue comes off the lenses without scratching if you use petrol and fine scotchbrite

Used a cheap heatgun on mine, done 2 sets now, very easy once you got the knack lol. heatgun was about a tenner from screwfix i think
