Pauls car is worth £1.5K for the sheer mintness of the car, running gear notwithsatding
rot free, all the right bits, even a black rooflining.
sorry dude, the car really is that tidy, I realise you'll want low priced opinions as a rule, but I'd honestly pay 1.5 Bags for the car in question.

At a guess, more in bits than as a whole car.
Tech 2 kit is 300+
M3 interior is worth a fair bit..
But a non running 318i is worth pennies....

I don't come on here much now, but this would be my car right?
Ant, am i selling the wrong car here? (seriously?) I didn't actually realise that the 318i was a nice as your saying, but yes it is totally rot free etc.
Munky a non running 318i is not worth pennies. If it was sitting on cut springs with a home spray job then maybe it would be about the right figure
The car is loaded and would break back to standard for over 2k, so im not letting it go for little as you know. If it doesn't sell I will put it back to totally standard and keep it for now locked up in the garage where it sits.

what else is on the car ??
if its got 15" bbs's and decent suspension ( not jamex or similar wank lowering) then i'd value it at no more than one bag depending on whats wrong with the engine.
there's a decent looking IS for sale for 2 grand on the for sale section

true but you wont stuff it will you! buy a 1.1 fiesta, use that and build your e30 and insure it when you are 18 or 19 and have no claims bonus.maxfield wrote:![]()

What about when i stuff it, 'We're sorry Mr Maxfield we will not pay you because this is car isn't what we insured you for'
Then came the tears...
you'll have nothing but aggro from the police, you look so young and you'll be stopped every 5 minutes and not to mention jelous vandals scratching your car

Please refrain from posting these sort of comments, Kos's car was distinctly different from the car in question.Danny_boykk wrote:Says the man who sold his white one for almost twice that.Kos wrote:what else is on the car ??

Max, dont worry about scratches etc, why on earth would that happen to this car and not others?
Kos, brief spec:
Tech 2 kit
M3 leather
Tech 2 wheel
Mtech knob and gaitor
M3 door cards
Black headlining
Map mirror
Pop out windows
Re-furbed 15" bbs and new tyres all round and spare
Lowered 40mm all round on quality springs
New shocks
New disks and pads
New steering parts (most of it)
New bushes (lots of)
Small things like eyebrows, clear repeaters and indicators
Sound system
And a very good nick car that has had all the work done properly on it.
Engine has a top end problem, was a tappy one, now a tappet or rocker has broken, dont know.
How is it not comparable to your IS, engine is different (yes and broken), simply makes this easyier to insure for a 17 year old.

There's definately two ways of looking at this.
1. The car is a non runner and has to be sold as such. This will detract from the price. I'd not like to guess where an ebay auction would end up for a non running car, morsels or no morsels.
2. The enthusiasts view. Some great strenthgs, a 2 door body in fantastic condition, some great modifications and oem extra style upgrades to the car. An enthusiasts will see it for it's potential. I reckon for relatively small money this would be a lovely 325i.
I'd say it's worth what someone is prepared to pay for it. If someone tried to sell me a 20 year old non running car for more than a grand, I'd be laughing hard and saying fook off!!
If I had 3k to spend on a e30, I'd be happy to have this for top dollar and use the spare k to source a better power train.

Been offered 600 for the seats and door cards alone.(by 2 zoners)
Im not trying to make the car out to be worth a lot of money or anything, at the end of the day max if you like it you can buy it. Otherwise im perfectly happy to keep it also, tbh im not short on the money side of it, so im in no hurry. Would just like to see it go to a good home.
Thanks,

thats a good spec, no arguments there. IF the the body is in good condition then depending on how you look at it, who's after it and what their intentions are its worth £1000 with no arguments if their intentions are to get in running. to get another lump ( a good one ) in there with a full service and belt change will cost about £500

I almost did, but I bought a 325i sport and lost interest in this to be honest.1an wrote:seems strange to be why the owner doesnt just drop another engin in so its a good runner and then sell it for good money/
each to their own though
Maxfield has a good M40 to put in it anyway, and its miles from where I live, hence why he is after it, and there is no need for me to sell it with an engine.
Thanks.
