My heartfelt sympathy for you...
The car is still stunning
...and after a quick go on the jig at that prick's expense you should be good as new

Huckin Fell mate,
Glad YOU are ok, but Jesus, I have to say i would have kicked the arseholes C**T in. Hope all goes well with the rebuild, and as peeps have said keep us informed.
Cheers.
Minimum the DD will get is one year ban and approx £400 fine, however with the pics you have there and no doubt the police will have similar, he should get a lot more than that.

Hope your ok Reedy and a very sad site to see. I suppose this is why more mint examples live in the garage as they fear this happening to them as it's out of our control when sitting in the drivers seat.
Good luck with the rebuild
Good luck with the rebuild

Do you have legal cover on your insurance??
If so push for compo due to stress fromt he crash, bad back etc etc. Milk this fecker. Also the value of a crash repaired M3 against the value before the crash, ie minty minty needs compensating for.

Shit. Not been logging on much these days, didnt see this until now. This is a real shame, I always admired your M3. I hope you can sort it all out in the end.

So sorry to see this Reedy, she was a lovely car,is a lovely car and soon will be again,Roy is gutted for you.Bloody drunks they should never be allowed to get behind a wheel again.Hope you get it sorted quickly.
Toyota Prius is only economical up to 30mph when not accelerating.blatantarrogance wrote:70 mpg?? Bl00dy Toyota Prius!!!dimebag_from_hell wrote:Terrible news mate, at the weekend the same thing nearly happened to me! A woman driving at about 60-70mpg,
These 'wonderful efficient and green' cars use a normal engine to accelerate, and over 30mph, the damned thing uses the engine anyway - at about 35mpg... May as well have an E30...

drink drivers should have their cars crushed, whilst handuffed to the steering wheel.
good luck getting her back on the road, im sure with your enthusiasm she'll be better than ever.
and as has been said, milk them for all your worth, stress, the lot.

Would it be illegal to publish the driver's address and organise shifts to keep an E30 driving past that house 24 hours a day until he goes insane?

When I rolled my Golf gti, I mean proper rolled it, flipped a hedge and three and a half turns later, I felt the same.
The best thing to do is fight that fear. Get in the driving seta and drive around the block, to the shops or a regular route.
Even five years after the accident, I took the corner unreasonably slow.
7 years later and I still get anxiety on the corner, I can take it quickly again though.
It has to be a triumph of will. Speak to someone about your anxiety surrounding the sleep. Let your solicitor know and it can be taken into consideration in court, recouping costs etc. You have got to stop using drink as a tool.
I hope you feel better soon.

Drinking to sleep? Don't do it mate. I've been there, it doesn't help.
Was over an ex years ago, I got well f*cked up over it, was drinking spirits by the bottle.
It took me a while to realise, but it really isn't the way, the problems are still there when you wake up, and you have a hangover too to add to your troubles... plus the cost of the booze...
Anything we can do to help, let us know. Get help from the doc for the sleeping problems, and get back in the car asap.
My wife was the same after a car crash, I MADE her get into my car and drive it, she was nervous as hell, but she's fine again now.

the drunk w**kers insurance will cover 3rd party costs but he will not get a penny
That article reads like the M3 was at fault. All they had to insert was the phrase "Cooper's Fiesta"REEDY wrote:PM`d!!!
