Good use of a disused road.
Shame about Nicks tyres later on! Ripped to shreds! 245/45/17's too!
More of this once my car is fixed.

Yesterday afternoon!
Gav popped round to mine, and we decided to see if we could get onto Bourn airfield.
Nick knew of a disused road, where the new A428 is now, so we just went up there and had a little play.
We then went back to the airfield, played about on there (got chased off - but I'm going to try to arrange the meet soon!!) and Nick did a couple of donuts and tore big chunks of rubber off his N/S/R tyre so it was down to the canvas. Shocking. Should have taken pics!!
The surface is ok, but abrasive as we found out. But there are sections were you could have 1/4 mile shootouts if we are allowed. I will try to meet with the owner as soon as my exams are done.

Interesting, I thought tyres (and just as importantly tyre pressures) made all the difference.
Maybe your rear pressures are too high?
Or maybe it's just because I have cheapo tyres on the front which lose grip before the rears!
Still, even if I swapped the front and rear wheels round I'd guess it'd still be a lot of effort to get the back out.....only one way to find out though

Well my 316i absolutely thrashed the pants off of my mates 2.0 saab 99 the other night. We dragged and I got a bad start yet I still pulled straight past him and just kept pulling away.I raced a E36 318i and he struggled to get past, just managed to crawl past me when I was at like 90mph.I thought the 316i would be sluggish but it aint.
