Touch up spray cans?

Do the main dealers do spray cans in E30 colours?
Theres a few little areas in the engine bay I want to touch up and under the arches etc.
Ive tried the usual places like Halfarts but they dont do any Dolphin Grey.

Ive heard some do and some dont mate.I rang mine and it hink they dont, but some have said you can get paint from them

Might be worth looking in the yellow pages and maybe finding a paint shop/mixer,ive got one localy and they do paints and number plates etc, they must be able to mix somthing up.

Halfords do almost any colour, but you have to ask for it. The have a Holts Minimix system and can make any colour you want afaik, I got a can of Daytona Violet on Friday from there.

Oooh. Must try them, do you just take in something to get a colour match from?

Yeh i went in and couldnt see my shade of Alpine white mate. Went up to the counter and gave the geezer my paint number (on the front strut turret) and managed to work out what one it was. Perfect match, a tenner for a nice size can.

Only thing i found was that i had to tell him the date of the car because there were quite a few ones with similar codes, 93 onwards etc

Halfords will mix the paint you want, if it isn't already on the shelf.

A few years back i got Lotus Pacific Blue Metalic made up. I cant remember the price, but the match was exactly the same as the paint on the car.

BMW should be able to order it in, but remember paint fades so you gona have to do some prep, post spray blending.

I ordered some about a year ago, so should still be able to get it. its about
10-20, with laquer spray (depending) comes together if needed

If you get the spray cans from the dealers you've got to give them your chasis number

The dealers will be able to get you any BMW colour as long as you have the name or paint code. As Andy says though, if you want a paint to match your car just give them your chassis number and they can order it in for you.

It comes in a 2-tin pack, one can of paint and one clear cote. It's about a tenner for the pack and it doesn't go far. I had to order 3 packs which just about sprayed an iS lip spoiler!
