http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/182633.htm

I would like to think £3000 is a fair price but it doesn't seem to be getting all that much interest on Pistonheads
What would you guys expect to pay for this car? Am I being too optimistic with the price? Since owning i have probably put £3000 into the car just on garage bills and mods!

Might end up putting it up on gayBay today...

Thanks - Adam

I think it'll probably be worth a fair bit more in about 5 years! I've seen M5's go for that kind of money recently - I think the E34 is at it's bottom price at the moment, and will probably start getting more valuable again in the next few years, I'd have thought about now is the best time to buy one and the worst time to be selling one.

325i sports are going for way more than they were even 2 years ago (I think - I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong) - I think that was about the time their price hit rock bottom, and now they're on their way back up.

But it's a nice looking car, maybe not the pistonheads kind of market though, as the 525i isn't really that high-performance? You could try Ebay or autotrader, people there might be more interested in what looks like a nice looked-after good quality car...

Ps you know the price at the top right reads £34? I don't know if that's intentional or whether you meant to write E34?

as above, a good car but not that popular at the moment. Take off the wheels and sell them seperately then expect about £2k

Sold it for £2650 - and that was on eBay. It was a rare '95 sport with that colour and interior combo - totally immaculate. Probably the rarest colour for a '95 525i sport too as it is usually worn by the M5's and it was only available for the facelifted sports in that year. Now compare that to an E30 325i sport and you would only get a complete turd for £2650.

And a 325is wouldnt have an M50 engine... ...you've made quite a case for the E34 as a grand bargain methinks...

I hate to say it but the E34's are also better built than the E30's :o:

But the E30 is the more fun car to drive... Thats why i traded the E34 in for my E30 Sport. Ideally i would have liked to keep both as the E34 was shit-hot to plod about in on long journeys, especially the motorway
