First of all, Mods I'm sorry if this thread is in the wrong section!
Right Chaps. Advice, please.......
When I get my re-trimmed sports seats back from the upholserers, I'll need to wet vacuum the rear seats 'cos they'll look filthy compared to my nice minty fresh fronts. What are your recommendations for the cleaning fluid, please??
Cheers
Stuart.

Are you talking leather seats ? or cloth/velour ones ?
Leather -> Gliptone
Cloth -> A decent carpet cleaner sort of stuff. I recently used 1001 Carpet cleaner, and that was not bad, but I used this Power Carpet product, white colour bottle, from Sainsbury's and used it to clean all the cloth/velour interiors on my car - hard work, but worth the effort.

325i Motorsport Edition convertible - gone, but not forgotten.

I used a carpet cleaner made by Johnsons the drycleaners. Worked a treat, got all the 3 year old coke stains off my interior and roof lining, left there by the previous owner.

i've been using a 4 quid 'instant valet' foam in a red can available from car parts places - and a stiff brush and/or a scourer and a sponge and plenty of clean water and a clean towell and every car i've ever done has come up a treat.
the big difference in my experience is taking whatever you want to clean out of the car - then you can use plenty of water and dry it thoroughly before re-fitting without worry. especially e30 rear seats - they come out in minutes.

Do what Jesus did, and take out everything for a bath!!
Did you see the dirt which came off his interior? Looks so tidy afterwards, like brand new.

I'm thinking about doing it this weekend at my parents, depending on if i finish my suspension, Probably end up leaving my carpet up there for a while to dry properly! nd i can have a nice stripped out interior! wahooo!

The best method I have found is to first remove the seats etc. from the car, wet them with warm water and whatever cleaner you decide to use. Leave to soak for 1/2 to 1 hour. Then blast with a power washer with one of those spiral type nozzles. These are especially good on carpets as the spiral effect separates the pile instead of just flattening it.
Never found a better way of doing it - only thing is you need two days for everything to dry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
