:D hi,a.im new to forum.i,ve got a 318is im looking to change diff for an lsd one.not sure about what best ratio for this model.could do with sum advise on it.cheers

Welcome to the Zone mate 8)

A 3.91lsd is probobly your best bet,you will be very lucky to find a 4.1lsd(same ratio as you have now i think ?).

You will lose a tiny bit of acceleration due the 3.91 making the gearing slightly longer.

They arnt cheap though 200-250 ish seems to be the going rate on here.

cheers andy.that info was great.i,ve got lsd sorted just needed more info before i buy it.been offered one out of 325is,ratio is 3.91.yea u were about price to Ԛ£240 if i want it.cheers rob :D

Im hopefully sticking an is lump in mine soon, and want an LSD as well. Seeing as the 4:10's are like rocking horse sh*t, is the 3:91 that much slower? Ill be on 205/55/15's so their small wheels compared to say alpina reps etc.

Sounds like a good excuse to go to 205/50 when you get your next set of tyres! :thumb: It's not going to make a huuuge difference though, & it'll be that li'l bit better on economy / motorway RPM too...
