as a few of you know, i'm fitting leda coilovers, diy adjustable ARB's and rose jointed ARB droplinks to my touring. i'm replacing any dodgy bushes with polyurethane but i'm not sure whether to do the trailing arms or not. in my experience, the small rubber bushes are very hard anyway and poly bushes may no be much of an upgrade, if any. i know there are drawbacks to poly bushes too which is why i try and only use them on more static positiones, eg; subframe mounts, strut tops etc.
can anyone give me some feedback on whether they make a noticeable difference or not?
it's a lot of money for a possible downgrade!
opinions on trailing arb bush upgrades

i did a full polybush change apart from arb's on my car (see road rally car in motorsport section), and i wasn't impressed, my bushes weren't in the best of condition to start with and after the change to poly's there was obviously a difference but i feel that they were not any better than standard new bushes would have been. i don't think you should bother if your bushes are in good condition at the mo. alot of people said i'd be amazed at the difference but i call a spade a spade and after spending out £200 ish i was dissapointed. the only advantage really is that they are easier to remove and fit.

cheers mate. this is what i'd suspected.
i've had it before on a 205 gti... the wishbone bushes are made up of 3 concentric steel rings with bonded rubber between. 'upgrade' to polyurethane and the whole bush is a lot softer and it torque steers like a goodun!
