whats the usual procedure when you are trying to close the sunroof and the sunroof winder snaps off in your hand?

well yeh that is on the to do list, but im talking about a way to get the roof shut up now??

has the handle broken off or the whole thing? (can you see the teeth on the gear?)
some wacky ideas:
you could try removing the cover and winding the gear slowly
or attach the gear to a drill
failing that, no idea!
if its not in a garage, bung a bin bag over the hole.

the metal bit holding the handle sheered off but i cant see any gears, ive tried shifting the remaining "stump" using pliers but no luck, too stiff, ive taped bin bag over for now.
