I have read on here that a few of you guys have panel filters. Is it true that these aren't as loud as the full induction kits, and where can i get one for a 325? I have looked on the web but no luck. What are the pros and cons of the different filter options?
Thanks!
Where to get Panel Filter?

i went back to standard from having K&N induction kit on mine, made a difference to the intake sound, mine got warped and one day i found it had fallen of the afm, so i took it back to standard, hopefully nothings been screwed in my engine otherwise K&N will have to pay
, will exchange for a panel filter i think and some change please lol,
in my air box i removed the trumpet aswell as i couldn't see any the function of it anyone knows what its for?

i had a k&n panel filter on my 1st 325i.
i bought it from halfrauds for about Ԛ£40 (had to order it)
made a small difference to intake noise and the car appeared to be breathing better (i say appeared cos the only real way to tell is on the rollers with a before and after)

I have a jetex performance filter, was about 40quid at the time. when I got my white 325i I noticed someone had used a cone cutter on the bottom of the air box to create 8 or 10 holes about 20 or 30mm wide each
