just fitted the spacer to the front of the crank but it doesnt fit flat against the end of the crank due to the shape of the crank.
Will this be ok ? (the block will cleaned before its all put together and its got to be bored out yet)
With the tension you need to put in the crank nose bolt, I'd say that spacer needs to seat against the flat on the crank. The spacer will try to dig into the rad on the crank otherwise
Get the machinist to put a chamfer on the inside face and all will be well.
They'll probably ask how much of a chamfer, (I'm not meaning to be patronising here BTW!) you'll need to measure the depth of the radius and then add mabey a 1/2mm just to be sure. No doubt a 45degree chamfer will see the job done
