The fuel pump relay is not in the fuse box!
On the 4 cylinder models its mounted on the bulkhead beneath a black plastic cover that runs behind the cylinder head. Just next to the diagnostic socket on your car. Beneath the cover are 2 relays, i can't remember which is which though. one will be white the other orange. They are for the ECU & Fuel pump, some one will be along here soon to tell you which one is the fuel pump relay.

hi - Bentley manual shows a pic. for 4 cyl engines with three relays - small one nearest front is fuel pump, big one in middle is vacuum advance relay, third one, (big) nearest bulkhead is idle speed stabilisation relay. Six cylinder relays are (front to back) 1) Main relay, 2) Fuel pump relay, 3) Oxygen sensor heater relay.
Hope this helps

They aren't always in the same order.
Have a look at the wires that go to the relays. The main DME relay will be the one with a fatter wire than the rest (I think it's red). The fuel pump relay will be the other one.

Main ECU relay is white, fuel pump relay is orange. To double check, one of the wires to the fuel pump relay is green/purple.
Note that power to the fuel pump relay is fed from the main relay.

if you do suspect a relay, while the engine running, give the relay a tap with a screw driver head, and see what happens.
I kept having intermitent stalling, happening once or twice a day,
a changed a few things as you do, i tapped the relay and low and behold it stalled, changed it, and bobs your uncle.
