Ha!
It was slow off the line with no revs, but it actually went alright. Drifting in second was spot on.
The Diff lived on for a while sporting an S14 engine as it's driver!

These diffs physically fit, but because the E30 uses an overdrive fifth gear and the E36/Z3 use direct top gears in their gearboxes, the ratios are unsuitable.
Perfect for M5x conversions though!
I have a Z3 slipper lined up for the upcoming M52 touring.

Hi Brian is it a 2.8 diff? Were these an option or standard on the 2.8's? (Z3)Brianmoooore wrote: I have a Z3 slipper lined up for the upcoming M52 touring.

Yes, mine's from a '99 2.8, and, AFAIK, they were standard fit.Andy325i wrote:Hi Brian is it a 2.8 diff? Were these an option or standard on the 2.8's? (Z3)
They are torsen diffs though, and from the outside, behave and look exactly like an ordinary open diff.
