Would it create grumbling noises if i had the wrong grade oil in?

The LSD makes loads of noise under low speed turning and i can feel it stick a bit when moving off :?

You can use any fully synthetic good quality LSD specific oil, the stealer stuff is fine.

Is your diff only noisy at low speed when turning?

It actually feels like its dragging, thats the best description i can find when im driving say 5-10mph, and when moving off i can feel a little jerk, as if something has just freed itself :(

I replaced all the rear brakes as i thought it was that, but its no different!

I've read they are noisy on full lock, but this sounds terminal! almost like a grating, well, like stuck or binding brakes tbh! :(

I have noticed if the car has stood overnight then its fine for about 10 mins, once its warm then i get problems

Cheers

I don't like the sound of that mate.

How long have you had the car? Have you changed the oil? Or has it just developed this by itself?

Picked it up about 6 weeks ago and been working on it since, fella before fitted the LSD.........

Oil level is ok, dont think it was changed when it was fitted though, just checked

Sound fecked to you?

More optimistic because it's always done it, possibly wrong oil.

I've never heard one with the wrong oil, but I would've guessed at it being more likely to make the noise when cold.

If it is fecked, I think it's more likely to be the 'open part' (crown wheel/pinion) than the LSD unit.

Sorry, can't be more helpful than guessing really.
