m20 325i cylinder head onto a m20 320i engine

Hey Zone, Just wondering if i could put a 1990 325i sport m20 cylinder head onto my 1989 320i engine without any problems occuring when the engine is running etc as my 320i needs a new head.

It's deemed not worth it, owing to having to machine the block deck/pistons to clear the valves, and messing up the compression ratio.
