Dear All,

I have to say, Im rather nervous putting my pride and joy in front of such a host of excellent and outstanding cars on the Zone; shes not as good as some examples on the forum, but shes not bad, Im currently pleased with the outlook. Shes a F Reg 325i Sport.

Just to give you some info on the car, as pics alone will not tell the wholestory:

Engine: M20B25 currently 109k on the clock, fsh, Head was done @ 102K by previous owner. Has had a new starter, new clutch master and slave, KnN 57i with Heatshield. Currently running a sebring backbox.

Suspension: Bilstein Shocks all round, 40mm drop at the front, with a 60mm drop at the rear on Bilstein Springs.

Brakes: Drilled and Grooved Discs all round, EBC Greenstuff all round, Goodridge S/S Hoses front and rear.

Interior: Mtech Black Leather Recaros. Do have the headrests for the rear seats, but was just conditoning them hence why they are not in the photo. The usual Sport trim.

Styling: Mtech Gear Gaitor (Non OE), 18" Kahn 5 Spoke Alloys. Sprayed complete front grill in Gloss Black inc Kidney Grill, added Mtech Badge only at the front. Awaiting Zone sticker to put on the eyebrows, maybe!?

ICE: Well im not sure whether it is appropiate as i assume most of the zone are insterested in the mechanics and styling, so i wont bother in this dept.

Future Plans: Full Scorpion STW System on order, BMC Induction Kit, Alpina's or BBS (not sure yet), Eibach ARB kit, BBTB, BTB Manifold, Zone Chip, spray taillights red, and last but not least, give the car ot Ant the almighty to turbo!!!!

Well i hope i havent bored most of you to shear death, the pictures are below, please do pass on your comments and suggestions, as Im new to the E30 Scene and would very much appreciate your advice

Regards

Saboor

Seems that you've been pretty busy with her.

There are a few Zoners with the stickers on the eyebrows. Looks OK IMO. Personally, I am not in favour of eyebrows but hey, it's your car!

Alpinas or BBS...for me it's BBS.

I see you have door pods. What is the ICE set-up?

Will you be at the next Ace meet?

I quite like the wheels, they're different, make sure you get proper alpinas not burger kings!

So far so goood then....!!!Sigh of relief!!!

I was thinkin BBS to, you just cant beat them, butthe Alpinas are so attractive, im in a dilema, and 'maxfield' makes a point too, the so called 'burger kings' can cause wobble and misfit issues!

ICE: You arecorrect, i do in fact have door builds, the ICE is quite an intricate setup. I have In Phase 6.5" Components at the front, these are in the door builds with the tweeters on the left of them, onthe rear shelf ive also put the same set of components, not in favour of the usual 6x9's. In the boot, basically a boot build, three hovering amps, 2 x IP2400 Mono Channel Amps and 1x IP2400 4 Chaneel running the speakers. A Lanzar 10 farad Digital Capacitor and lastly 2 x 15" In Phase Subs. At the front is an Alpine 9853r Headunit with a Lanzar in line crossover.

Thanks for the comments guys, really appreciate them

Ace Cafe, when is it?

Both Alloy optionsareso damn expensive!!!!

See the Alpinas make the car stnad out, whereas the BBS make the car look OE, see i like both, damnit why did they have to make such good rims!

Im a pull my haoir out thinkin about this!!!

Just awaiting a the thought to pop inot my head, i think Im turning old so i might jsut go for the comfortable option and go with some nice OE looking BBS with a decent amount of absorption.

Currently the tyres are extremely thin, the ride isnt all that bad you know, but as you can imagine, a pot hole seems as if ive hit the sewers or something, overly exagerated, but thats the disadv fo thin tyres.

Thanks for the comments

Ace Cafe is the last Monday in each month. There's also Lakeside every month.

There's also a load of other events like Gaydon, Donnington and the like.

Have a look through the meets bit and see you somewhere.

17" alpina reps look better imho. mis fit issues? no not in the 2 sets ive had. i cant say i've ever felt wobble from them either. they give you better handling where they are a bit heavier and therfore giving the car a lower center of gravity. from my personal experience 15" bbs tend to make the rear end slip out on corners more than the 'burger kings'. i've driven with pina reps for 6 months when i first bougfht my 90' sport then switched to BBS for 6 months and now im using alpina reps again and imo they are better wheels.i dont think the pina reps are as strong as the bbs but that doesnt matter unless you intend to smash in to kerbs regularly lol winkeye

You know what, alpinas on one side and bbs on the other, best of both worlds

Arrghhhhhhhh, damnit im jsut solidly confused now
