Anyone know the normal cost of getting a car on a jig and straightened out if it's been very slightly bent? After getting my car fixed after someone ran into my driver's side rear wheel it seems to be very slightly out - just doesn't feel quite right. But nothing visibly - I think the mounting hole that holds the bolt from the rear subframe bush has been pushed forwards about 1.5cm at the most

Ps beardymat (if you're reading this) thanks for the quick reply, I did try to reply via PM but either the PM system's playing up or your inbox is full. Will ring on Monday depending on how the alignment test goes.

if the bidy shops got a jig he'll need to lease the brackets at a cost of about £100 plus VAT for a week from the manufacturer(sp), then its labour money on top so i'd say you will be looking a £250 to just get i on a jig

An E30 should sit on the "Old" style sill clamp brackets that caroliners and such like use.I've had older Bm's on caroliners before without the rented brackets. They have a seam at the base.Alot of the newer stuff do have model specific brackets that cost a bit to rent as Kos pointed out above.
Cost to load around here(North Yorks)is "About" £150 unless you know someone etc etc.About 3 hours rate. Then an hourly rate there after. It takes a bit of time getting a car up onto a caroliner.A Car Bench is a quicker load(read cheaper?) system. Its finding someone you can trust not to over pull a car.I know of people who pull cars off of clamps.Proper rough

Hope that helps

Cheers, those prices are much cheaper than I was expecting. I was thinking it was thousands to get it on a jig, but it's looking like a reasonable option now, especially with Beardymat's kind offer. All depends on whether the wheel alignment test on Monday shows my rear driver's side wheel pointing straight or not, so fingers crossed! Can't afford to scrap the car and buy another, so got to get this one back into shape (perhaps literally!)
