Just searched for m3 on the trader

i was dazzled at how affordable they are, there are two phat e30 m3's under the 5k barrier, take a look :cool:

but probably dogs. loads of filler, tired engines, no history, clocked back etc...

Have you searchedd them jon? they both look awesome!! in black, ones wearing 17 or 18's and the other has bbs with black centres , similar to the checotto ( think thats spelt right ) .

steer clear of ones at that price, save and pay 7k or a bit more for a good one that doesn't have tsw venoms on it

lol tsw venoms, dont think id ever buy any car with venoms, especially with my reputation with wheels :cool:

Hmmm.

Well I decided when buying mine to buy the best I could afford. I paid over Ԛ£8K and its a good standard car. It hadnt been modified (save for a exhaust and a F strut brace. And its still cost me thousands in bills so far. :roll:

I do wonder sometimes if Id bought a cheaper one like the Autotrader examples whether I would have been up or down relatively at this time.

If you are going to buy a cheaper car, check it over properly. 1988 was 16-17 years ago, so theres a lot that can go wrong in that time. As with any car. Chck the usual damage/overall condition and pay accordingly. If you can find a Ԛ£5K thats been looked after properly, then its a better buy than the H Reg Ԛ£8K+ car thats missed services etc

theres no such thing as a cheap m3

itll cost you short term or long term or if you r really unlucky both!!
