Firsty a big thanks to Jimmy for sorting us out the tickets, me and my old man went and had a great day despite the intermittant rain showers. Didn't get time to come and speak to any of the racers, also I didn't know who were zoners so i'd have probably ended up speaking to the wrong people

Jimmy were you racing or not? I saw Brians car going round the only zoner I recognised the name of.

Now for the pictures, its a cheap digital camera with basically NO zoom so they are fairly basic but you get the idea.

Car number 88's driver must have needed a new set of underwear about 2 seconds after this photo was taken. I think he took the grass to avoid a spinning car infront of him then promptly ended up on the grass /\ and did a 360 about 2 cm away from the armco!!!!!!!

Intermittant showers - Love them  Great pictures and looks a hoot to be watchin or better behind the wheel

On warm tyres for the dry then down comes the rain and then the real fun begins with sideways at every opportunity  . :D

Some of those boys giving it sideways in the rain would make some interesting in car camera footage - plus a Beep Box for sure
The Isle of Man: No National Speed Limit, No Gatso's, No Nanny State, a disused airfield track 1.5 miles long, the best mountain road to drive on...Come and Play!

Jon was that your Alpina Touring?

Or were you in an M3?? winkeye

Were you with 'National Windscreens' by anychance??

I had a great day, the cars were great... Matey who actually won the BMW class who actually built the car him self, drove it there and back :notworthy: But only just made it past the line  coming off 'Camp corner' totally lost the back end and went over back wards!!

Both the M3s were impressive winkeye

No I was in my old mans blue s13 200sx. I nearly pooed myself on the journey there when the budget rear tyres lit up in 3rd gear at only 4000rpm on a wet duel carraigeway! I most certainly wasn't participating in the actual racing!

The two M3's were nice, i'll upload some pictures on them later and some other fine machinary. I heard about the winner crossing the line backwards over the speaker system. A combination of wet weather, semi slick tyres(r888's) and a 320i engine going pop dumping its oil all over the circuit 8O Who ever said 320's were boring :o

I was running on slicks there and back :?

Some kind chaps (Racers) gave me 6 wheel bolts, brand new I must add and two out of their spares box.. So I could take the spacer off the back of mine and drive home safely! Absolute God send.

I wasnt racing either by the way! I was refering to the E30's I spotted in the car park!

Glad all had a good time :)

Tickets for Silverstone coming up next week so keep your eyes open!!

I'll grab the links to all the videos and pics as they pop up on SELOC for you guys

The white 320 is Dave Kear from MTechs own car driven by Len Colley, the car is mint on top underneath and is really everything youcan do within the regs! The white M3 is another M Tech car driven by John Wilcocks.

Not got my car finished yet, hopefully Silverstone!! Its a chromie too BTW, and another M Tech car :)

Hi Jon, Ian Shepherd 98 (Ianmeister) drops in here from time to time, Richard Cormode 62 (Calder), Simon Fox 70 (Foxy) and possibly a few others. The silver car no 3 in the photo is an ex zone car, used to belong to Marcs (Zaust) wife before the race conversion. The delphin 24 is my brother Mickey, I almost collected him on the last or second last lap at Quarry when the oil went down, I'd love a bit of video of that!

Cheers, thanks for posting the photos
Brian

hi all, good fun race on Monday, glad people enjoyed watching it, about 4 cars cracked sumps on kerbs on the chicanes and were spreading oil evenly round the circuit, the heavy rain on the last few laps just spread the oil around making the circuit very slippery!
