it has 3 pipes from it one is fuel inlet the other goes to the carb and the other comes of the top and seems to be the return

Swirl pots are used to stop fuel surge and fuel starvation. Usually used on race cars and tuned turbo cars.

the one pictured is on my spare im using while the e30 is is surgery, its a (coughs)nova 1,3sr hope no one heard that lol :o:

My old engine had one. Something to do with emissions I believe.
