No really!

I think it would look more
Funny you should say that, I was thinking about it while I was masking up the scuttle panel.

Never really been a fan of the single wiper thing as normally they're slightly off centre, but the e30 wiper hole would line up perfectly.
Yup I reckon its worth a go... Get you self a 'Citroen Picasso' rear wiper arm.
Slightly longer blade and stick one of those wind deflectors. Job done

Not to everyones taste but 'Kinda of menacing' etc

IS bib would look really good... Whats that one that looks similar but is lower?

Looks mean Munky, are you going to paint Benjy's wheels then? Whats next? Black leather interior? winkeye

Don't you have to do something to the arm from the motor to the wiper too? to make it do a 170 degree sweep instead of about 100 as standard...

No idea what the other bib is. to be honest I dont think I can go much lower than an IS one.

Nathan - 30!! I hadnt noticed. Fiver says you whore it back up to 80 before I get anywhere near close. winkeye

Baz - Yup, the centre's will be sprayed matt black and the dish either gloss or satin black. I'm not a fan of leather, hot and sticky in the summer, cold in the winter and no grip when chucking the car about. Some sport seats trimmed in black will do nicely though.

:? Dunno if I'm up to making body parts... They're not too pricey anyway, someone offered me a set of SE skirts but I cant remember who it was and the pm's been deleted :? IS lip seems to be harder to come by but I'm in no rush, more important things to do atm.

I'll help do your car in exchange for the petrol to get to you and back, a pack of fags and a bottle of wine for when I get home.

I dont think I have the commitment to go for the full rat look, rust and all... though I did decide against sorting my dents.

I'm going for semi-rat

Gaffa tape is like "the force" - it has a light side, a dark side, and it holds the universe together.
There's nothing that shouts "Poor Workmanship" more than wrinkles in the Gaffer tap

Obs - re the wiper... see you've mentioned the dreaded welder again... Honestly... things/people/buildings will burn if I'm let loose with a welder.

Will definitely look into it once the rest is done though.

Oh and its Hoosier's. They only look good with white writing on them, 15" wide in a tubbed rear end. In a car that lifts the front wheels when it launches

I seem to remember reading about that rat rod in street machine. The gearbox going every time he washes it rings a bell.

Karldan - How much?

Again the 'Tramp weld' way I suggested would work... two nut and bolts top and bottom done!

Dont mind at all. I have a thing for s-body's... I fookin hate them lol.

Too many rich kids buy them, spunk 10 grand on mods and then think they're the only car you can drift properly in. If you go on driftworks I'd say 90% of people on there drive bloody silvia's. :x

So to hear that my car has inspired someone to get shot of theirs and get an e30 pleases me greatly

I'm fairly handy at photochopping but didnt even bother trying to turn gloss into matt. 8O

If you have bodywork to do I cant recommend matt black highly enough. Cheap, effective, and easy to do.

Eventually I want a touring with a diamantschwartz bottom and cosmos black from the doorhandles up... but that costs money and I dont know if this shell is worth doing it to yet, I may well kill it before I can afford a proper respray.

But as a semi-temporary fix I'm very pleased with the matt black. I'm actually tempted to get it done this colour by a pro instead of the two tone... or maybe have a cosmos/matt black two tone...

Kill the tramp tourer and eventually find a new victim to do the 2 tone treatment to. That way all the good morsels on trampy can be transfered over to the new shell.

I think that will be the inevitable eventuality.

After a few more little touches to this one I plan on spending the forseeable future firstly making the engine run right, and secondly making it more powerful.

By that time the shell will probably be in pieces and I can swap any choice morsels over to a new shiny shell.
