the 1.8 engine was blown up, so got a 1.6 from a donor car, cleaned it up, sorted some new bits for it, fitted it, went to crank it and "poof" a cloud of black smoke and a load of glowing wires, either i forgot to change something on it, or i wired it up wrong (sounds more like me) i changed the ECU and loom from one to the other to match too.. any ideas what i did wrong...?

1.8 to 1.6, im young and insurance is cheaper, plus donor car only cost me 40, yes its earthed, checked that a few times.. just my luck really..
