I am finally going to get of my arse and sort these kidney grills. They were sprayed black but unfortunatley i got a bit carried away with a pressure washer and fucked a bit of the paint.
What should i use to remove the rest of the black paint? I am going to use normal 800 grit to sand the grill once the paint is removed, then grey plastic primer and probably matt black spray paint? or is there a better colour of black i should use?
cheers
Sorting out my black kidney grills today...

normal lacquer yes...
i would just get some medium sandpaper and sand them back... now i remember i sanded my chrome a bit and then put a couple of coats of primer on before the satin black..
if you are doing light coats then each will dry fairly quickly.. i was lucky as it was a really hot day so each coat was dry enough to cover within 10 minutes...

if the black was coming off with a pressure washer then use that to finish them off!! can't have been a great job if the paint came off that easily...

I doubt the pressure washer will be able to take all the paint off
