hi peeps
i've got a F reg e30 325i i need to know if they make a shorter belt buckle
and if they do where can i get one
the reason i need one is because when i had a new babyseat fitted, the adviser told me, that it would cause buckle crunch and that I need to get a shorter buckle fitment.

So can anyone help??????????????

I dont think they do a shorter belt clip.

I would contact BMW directly. You can do this via the BMW.co.uk website.

I think it's when the plastic housing of the buckle itself is stressed against the baby seat rather than the strap.

What make of seat are you using ?

I've got a Graco in my E30 with no problems at all.

How long ago did they sell you the seat ?

They shouldn't have sold you one that wouldn't fit properly in your car, I'd be taking it back for a refund or swap for one that fits.

The seat is the Recaro Young Sport, and the reason we got it even though they said we'd have buckle crunch is because its the only seat we've found that fits and doesn't move about!!

They did tell us they don't totally recommend it, but to shorten the buckle strap and they will refit for us.

So now we are on the hunt for a buckle strap for an E30 thats shorter then standard.
