Oh, one other place that's commonly overlooked, is Richer Sounds. They have really good prices on chunky speaker cable.
Usually much cheaper than the car audio places charge.

Don't know about places that sell cabling but make sure you buy the best stuff you can afford. The thicker the better and also gold plated terminals.
I've gone from run of the mill wires to top of the range phoenix gold stuff and its made a big difference in terms of clarity and reduces the chance of power shortage.

Home & Car audio cable is pretty much identical. Home audio RCA leads will probably not have the extra amp remote turn on wire built in like you get on good quality car leads, but apart from that, it's the same stuff.billgatese30 wrote:so is it just normal audio cable that you use, never thought of that :wall:

Speaker wire is speaker wire. Just try to get good quality oxygen free stuff, and remember that bigger is generally better
Power wire is generally only car stuff, as home hifi is mains powered, and does not carry the same amount of current. How big you go, really depends on the power of the amplifier, and the distance from the battery. Try to use the biggest stuff that will fit on the amplifier terminals, and you can't go too far wrong.
Cheers,
Ian.
