Morning All,

Picked up my 1st ever E30 last night - just wanted to say Hello ! Car's a 140k '91 318i Cab in Lagoon Green, owned by 3 different members of the same family for the last 16 years, has thirty odd stamps in the book and seems in general good health except for the steering...... bit of searching and a quick look and I now know it's the lower column UJ thats shot it...... question is - is there anywhere I could order one today that might be able to get it out in todays post so I can sort this weekend?..... I've tried Motormec but they're out of stock :evil: ....

Other than that, I'm well happy with the new ride and I'm sure I have plenty of tech questions for you all......

1st off anyone know where I can get a cheap hoo......... kidding, kidding :lol: :lol: !!!

2.5 high comp. M20, 3.64 LSD, Fully undersealed, Spax springs & Bilstein shocks, s/s exhaust, Alpina rep wheels and more.

Okay, rubber bush ordered, collect this afternoon - but GSF say they don't think it comes with any bolts or the sleeve and they can't order them either.... is that correct and if so is it likely I'll need the sleeve?....... and are the bolts just M8's with locking nuts?

Erm have you seen http://www.realoem.com/bmw/

you can browse parts and part numbers by BMW series and model, it will tell you if the part your require comes with anything else or not and might give part numbers too.

will hopefully get sometime over bank holiday to properly detail her and take some more pics !

Thanks for the help, I hadn't seen the realoem.com site - thats a really useful resource !..... I've been back to GSF they definitely can't get the bolts or the sleeve/bush from the middle of the rubber bit and say they are main agent parts...... can get M8 nuts and bolts from work just don't want to get it all in bits and find I can't put it back together cause I need the sleeve....
