Look forward to seeing your name on the list!
So is this just an E30 do, or a general BMW do?
Is this meet advertised anywhere else?
If so, how many (and what) are coming from there?
I'm hoping for LOADS of BMW's not just restricted to E30s...

I've held back on cross advertising until I had an idea of numbers. The campsite has reserved enough space for 15 4 man tents (60 people). I realistically reckon with variances in tent sizes, 35 to 40 people will top it out.
We're not far from that now with a month to go still. I'm conscious we'll end up stretching the facilities the site offers, making organising any excursions difficult to say the least
Over the next week, I will try contacting everyone on the list to get firm committment. That way I can gauge whether we can afford to cross invite people from other forums.

I reckon the best time for the day visitors to come would be on saturday for the karting, they can (if they want) take part in that or just spectate. Then after that we are off on our tour of cornwall to a pub in sennen, then back up the a30 to newquay.

I think that's a good idea. May be worth starting a list/thread for day trippers!!munky30 wrote:I reckon the best time for the day visitors to come would be on saturday for the karting, they can (if they want) take part in that or just spectate. I'll look at getting you some funds tomorrow. Payday
Have had a go on these karts, they're really good, nice tight circuit. Well worth the money. What is it, £20?

wasnt sure what everyone wanted so booked a double sesh, you get two 15m races with a break between (chance for the wingers to try different karts cos they have the 'slow' oneWell worth the money. What is it, £20?
price is £39 for both and obviously £29 after you paid deposit.
still worth it i think as they have new karts this year even quicker.

These karts will leave you feeling battered. 2 races will have you aching like a HIV victim.
Talk about lactic acid build up in your arms!! Just don't let the track monkeys catch you braking under power

Won't make the karting, but would love to join the cruise afterwards.
What time (roughly, obviously) will the cruise take place?
Is the kart place far from the campsite? Just a though that those coming for the day, or not karting could go to the campsite and be met there after the winner is drowned with cheap champagne...
Just an idea. Less crowding at the kart circuit too...
I'm gonna take the missus out for the day to keep her happy, a whole weekend of just cars and she'll do her f*cking nut... Gives me the chance to see more of Cornwall too. Would like to tag onto the tour afterwards though.

kartins not far from the campsite gordon, best keep the lady happy
karting should only take best part of an hour so plenty of time to tool around the roads after that. have lots of cool roads in mind, only prob is finding places to park everyone up. not much room on these country roads.

Keeps me happy too if she's not nagging mate. May even get nookie in the tent after a few beers and a barbie...tailoutcharlie wrote:kartins not far from the campsite gordon, best keep the lady happy![]()
On that note, is there a communal barbie for people to chuck their own grub on, or bring your own barbie, or what?
I've got a largish barbecue in the garage, but size wise was thinking of getting a couple of the cheap disposable ones from Asda...

disposable prob way to go, if a few people get one of them should be good,
i wreckon corral the cars in a circle, lots of barbies in the middle, will feel like a bonnie as they prob wont let us build one. beer flowing good times.
sayin that a bonnie on a beach is allways fun
if illegal

If there's enough call, I can throw the bigger one in too, with some coals... Will all fit in the Touring, but not gonna bother for a few sausages, a throw-away one will do for that...

BBQ's are not a worry, Cotty has a trick one but bring disposables as they have bricks to mount them on, IIRC.
The Kernow boys will be taking us on a sweet sweet tour of Kernow, that should keep your Mrs happy. The campsite is on a slight hill encircled by a road, chalets and statics on the outside. No room for a caravan of cars as such.
If poeple want a beach bonnie, can't see it being an issue. Go the other way to Newquay, the road drops down out of the cliffs to a small hamlet and a stunning beach. Tuck yourselves down it's length and out of sight of the locals and all will be fine. It has a car park you can use too. Weather permitting!!
I imagine a lot will want to trapse into town to sample a wild Newquay night out but not everyone has to and it doesn't have to happen on both nights!!
