I am going head to head with my brother in law.

Will a 200hp 325i with 3.64 lsd beat a 170hp sport with 3.73lsd on a quater mile???
Regards

Clyde

Should do as you have a fair bit more power there, you should notice it pulling better when you get into third gear.

30 bhp isnt that much of a difference and your brother in law has the slightly better ratio's for acceleration .could go either way i think. when is the head to head?

I would say that it would be won or lost on the start line, a good start (reading the lights, leaving just before you see the green) will give you the advantage

is that is your car in the sig pic i would lose the 17"alpina reps and put some 15"on, will help no end

My 325 which alegedly had 192 bhp did 15.9 on the 1/4 on a red hot day, I was gutted with the times

E30

I intend to put 15's on for the strip, I loose to much acceleration with my current setup, running a 225/45/17 on rear...

:(

15.9 is a bit of a kick in the bollocks mate but considering the e30 has the aerodynamics of a house im not sure i could get that much better myself  ive been practicing my take offs for my trip to the strip this summer winkeye

what sort of trap speed did those people who have run their car get? This should correlate well with hp unlike ET which will chnage hugely depending on the launch

not sure exactly what ET stands for but it is the time it takes you to cross the finish line. Your 1/4 mile time basically

extra terrestrial?

my terminal speed on the 15.9 run was 85mph

Can't find my time slips now, so can't remember what my 60ft times were etc

the modded 328i I raced against did a best of 14.7 I think

here's another crap vid taken by the missus
