I am thinking about getting rid of my 1989 316i E30 saloon and getting a tourer(estate?) of the same model, but does the 1600 engine have enough va va voom for the extra body? If in doubt, should I go for a lrger engined model??

It's like carrying an extra small person, so it'll be pretty much the same.
But you might be loading up a touring more than a saloon so it might struggle a bit? 2.5
