Have not managed to do much lately due to my compressor packing up.Done most of the wiring for the screens/freeview/amps and speakers and might start on the suspension now that I have the 60mm springs.I will try and post some pictures of the new ride height on Sunday.

I would love to drive it for the summer,2 Years of ownership and never used in hot weather.Everyone has an estimated date for completion but it never happens with projects.Completion date is postponed till next year now (I hope  ).Lets see what happens winkeye if I manage to rope in a few mates it could be done quicker.

Managed to get most of the wiring done this week. The following list is what is going to be fitted and what has been wired so far.
-Pioneer dvd head unit.
-2x avd w6200 Pioneer head rest monitors.
-2x 8" sun visor monitors
-1x 2.5" lcd monitor mounted where the clock was.
-Pioneer Ipod changer.
-6 Way video splitter.
-All video cables
-0 Gauge power and earth cable for amplifiers.
-2x rca cables from head unit to boot.
All the speaker cables are from the boot (amplifiers) to:
-Pioneer 17cm components in front doors.
-Pioneer components on back shelf.
-Pioneer 13cm in footwells.
-Pioneer tweeters in interior mirror plastics.
-Also run speaker cables to the rear qtr panels in case I want to add them in the future.
Have not fitted any of the stereo or monitors in yet, only tested that all the wiring was working o.k and to my surprise nothing blew up/caught fire :D .Also fitted the m3 interior to make sure that none of the wiring will stop it from fitting properly. Can not believe how comfortable the m3 back seats are, passengers will definetely be happy.
Couple of changes to the bodywork plans. The car will be staying in its original colour (black) and the small bumper recess' will be painted red.Not sure if it will look o.k but I want to get the interior re-trimmed in plum red or the bolsters in black leather and the inners in red suede/leather.Please let me know if this would be a s**t move.

Help!! Bodywork is finally finished but now I am not sure what colour to go for,I am thinking of one of the following:-
-Silver with black bumper stripes.
-Black with red bumper stripes.
-Black with smothed bumpers.
-Or back to the original idea of lotus imperial green with smothed bumpers.
All the colours are apealing to me but after many nights of thinking about it I am still no further so thought it might be easier to go with a majority vote.Never thought choosing a colour was going to be this difficult. :x

All black with smoothed bumpers was the first choice as the original colour was schwarz black so would make things a lot easier.

Managed to paint the front panels yesterday and I have booked off a week just before christmas so hopefully it should be ready to put back together in the new year :P .Sorry about the picture quality but there is not a lot of room in the garage so getting a good angle is difficult and the camera is a bit outdated as well.Once its flat and polished it should look spot on.Also added a few pics of a paint sample that I was messing around with, its a black basecoat with candy apple red over the top.It flips from Black to a tofee apple kind of colour then to Red  its deffinetly diffrent, going to try it again with a copper basecoat with the candy apple over the top and see what it comes out like.

New years eve and I am still in the garage, back end is fully rebuilt and the hood is back on.Hit a couple of problems looking for the screws and bolts to put it back, really wished I had bagged and marked everything up now.Biggest problem is that the indicators for the wings do not fit the holes that have been cut,not sure if there is a diffrence between normal e30 and e30 m3 indicators. If anyone can shed some light on this it would be appreciated and I will send you my tinted black ones as a new years prize(when I get paid, christmas has seriously dented my pocket).
Anyway Happy New Year.

Couple of pictures of the progress, the rain stopped me from bringing it out so could only take pictures at weird angles.Put the tinted rears in and managed to break one of the metal surronds, did not realise that the window and surrond has to go in as a complete unit so after trying to bash the surrond on with a rubber mallet I ended up with a completely distorted and useless surrond. Was going to completely de-chrome the surrond but I think it looks better with just the chrome strip at the bottom which will be the same as on the door.Happy with the progress so far :D .At the moment need a front bumper as the old one is to far gone, does anyone know what the username is for the person that makes fibre glass m3 parts on here.
Couple of pics of progress,

Bonnet and boot have not been painted yet waiting for the bumper to get delivered then will paint them together. The white marks on the bonnet is stopper, not going to be using that bonnet so wanted to see just how well it covers up imperfections.

The bonnet is coming off of my donor car,no dents or work needs to be done to it and its metallic schwarz so hoping I might be able to stick it on for now get the m.o.t/tax and then spray it when I get a bit of extra time.Really want to take it out for a drive now,2 yrs working on it and not being able to drive it  hoping it should be ready to use by the end of the month and then its booked into get its engine changed to the 3.5 in March.

Managed to flat and polish it today, been dreading doing it but it was actually a lot easier than I thought. Two coats of polish after the compound and one coat of nano gloss on top(still need to do the skirts).Back is acheing so gave up there and will leave the bonnet/boot and bumper(which has now arrived) till wednesday.

Forgot to mention that due to circumstances that are out of my control the car may have to go before being finished. If it does it will be sold with the donor car and with the conversion parts for the 3.5. Really do not want to sell it but both garage spaces might be ripped down soon and I can not afford some of the prices that other landlords are asking for in my local area.Couple of pics of the donor car/baur,no pics of the conversion parts but the main parts of it is there.Unless I can find a new garage by the end of Feb this will definetely have to go and will not be sold seperately. If anyone has a garage in East London for 2 cars let me know.
