I got my Touring from Paul aka M3GTR on the Zone (checkout -
http://www.zonemotorsport.co.uk ) and kept her for 2 and a half years before she went on to Graham aka gra325i on the Zone.
I got my Cab from Ben aka Bootyman on the Zone and I've had this one for one year and 2 months so far!
Both are Laguna Green.
I'm hooked on E30s now, and as much as I love the cab, I could see me looking for another Touring (Laguna green? 325i?) sometime in the future.......

Bought my 323i new in 1985 and had it for 16 years until eventually the rust got it then bought the current Sport six years ago (which has some of the 323i mods in it!) So I've had E30s for 22 years.

5 months ago... A lowly standard 316i touring.
Now... a lowly far from standard unreliable noisy overheating 325... Great fun though and its taught me a lot.

I have had mine for 9 years, the last 1 year with it having a 2.7 engine in.
I have only had the 318is for 6 months - and it is finally getting closer to being a track car!!!

Interesting that so many people have found its the longest they have ever owned - its the same for me! Bought my 316i in April 2005, ran it until December 2005 when I decided that I wanted a 325i Touring - found a nice clean one and havent looked back - 18 months with the same car is totally unheard of for me!
No intention of selling it though, now I am into motorbikes the upgrades are going there instead!

To be honest I can't see a change in car for the foreseeable furture. The E30 quite simply fits the bill. Reliable, looks fresh even after twenty years and still brings a smile to my face everytime I drive it. The only other car which I would like own one day would be an M5 and even then I'd still keep my E30.

Yup - totally agree with that - its fast enough (just), comfy, looks cool and being a Touring fits anything I want to fit in it

Past history includes a 320 E21(3 years) a 520i E28(6 years, cryed when it went) The 316 Touring was bought a little over 2 years ago mainly for Calamity Jane(er indoors new name, she works for Stagecoach)to use,I enjoyed it so much I sold the current newish Renault to buy a solid but scruffy 320i with a cylinder head problem. This now has a lightly tuned 2.7 and a leather interior. The overiding reason for the 2 E30s is the compact body size,as they are narrower than most cars,Calamity is able to park them in our difficult, narrow driveway without hitting the wall, most times.Plus,of course, they are fun to drive!!Piccy of my two can be seen in the Ferrybridge meet thread.

I got my first E30 before my 21st birthday, around 5th of Feb, so have owned my cab for about three and a half months now. haven't driven it much due to the two and a half weeks spent on a total retrim, and was recently involved in a accident where a 'dick' of mini cab driver drove into the side of my car

so just plenty of work being carried out on the car. can't wait to get her back, not looking to sell, but planning to keep for a very long time!

Owned my red 325i for 4 years and I will never sell it.
Had my 325i Touring for 1 year. Sold it last year.
Just scrapped my track car (Lachs Silver 325i) which used to be my daily driver.

Had it for 8 years. The longest I've owned a car yet.
Taylor.
