Just wanted to say hi to everyone on the forum, im a newbie.

Used to be here before in the old forum but forgot my password, lol

Just like to say i don't have an e30, not anymore, but will do in the future for sure, some great looking cars here, and the engine conversions are like 8O

Didn't know people were putting later 328 engines into e30's, i currently own a van as im a courier and a Brabus, but definately been looking at e30s again.

Was wondering if anyone could shine any light on the modern engine conversion, as way of cost and driveability, other wise i really do like the m3 e30s. Can anyone who owns one just give me a rough idea of insurance on one, does it come under classic car insurance?

i'm in the 30 - 35 barrier, thats all im saying :D

Once again nice cars, and looks like a good forum, think i'll enjoy being here

I'm a similar age :( and with Norwich Union. Around Ԛ£400 fully comp, from memory.

I guess you can get them on classic car insurance, but then you don't get any / buld up any no claims. And I think there'll be certain restrictions, like it having to be your second car.

Oh, that's with full no-claims discount

oh great , i didnt know thats how classic car insurance worked.

It will probably be like a second car, as i love rolling about in my van, can park it anywhere with out worrying.

i'll definately be sticking around, i'll also be offering my business services in the very near future to all the e30 ers

Wow there are some real good insurance quotes in there, oh the brabus is a c class, only has 53 on the clock.

There are some bits i dont like about it, like it has the 18 inch brabus wheels, but they have been painted gold, kind of look ok with dark metallic green paint, as the paint has a very subtle gold flick in it, i noticed this on the only other original c class brabus i have seen. That was a blue, but with the gold flick.

Well i'm going to be changing the wheels for brabus splits, retrim, coliovers, and might go for the newer brabus lump once this one runs a few miles onit, planning on the supercharged. Not really sure about what type of power either as we can't really use it here any way.

Anyway thats enough about the merc, back to the beemas, some nice cars in the members section, i want one!! :)

If any of you work for any part of the civil service, or used to, or are married to anyone who does etc, you can get seriously cheap insurance via the Civil Service Motoring Association, via Liverpool Victoria.

My 325 is Ԛ£225 fully comp, protected no claims.

An added bonus is, if you put the CSMA sticker on your windscreen and get pulled, many of the Filf seem to think you;re one of them, as they're all in it

I'm 50 mind...

yeh seems like a good forum , top bunch of people..

why dont i get this with e36 and 46 owners, they seem to be in another world, hence me wanting an e30, classic the old BM's.

Love the old 5's too
