I'm sure this is probably a repost. But anyway, at the SW meet on sunday I was surprised to hear that some people hadnt heard of the series of films bmw made called 'the hire'.
Trying to find them a minute ago online and it looks like the official website isnt there anymore and you cant buy the dvd.
So... I guess my copy of it must be worth something... but you can't have it, its all miiine!
For the un-educated amongst you, bmw got together with a load of top hollywood diectors, ang li, guy ritchie and others, to make a series of short films all starring Clive Owen as 'the driver' in different situations.
They're great, if you havent seen them, youtube has them all or I'm sure you could find the dvd on egay or download the dvd image off torrents. Well worth doing...
To whet your appetite, this is my favourite. 'Beat the Devil' by tony scott.
Edit > oops... this was meant to go in other bmw chat... could a mod be so kind as to move it please.

There's some amazing cinematography in them, I hear people dismiss them as just a marketing exercise, which they were, but they are so well made, no expense spared.
The unoficial line was that bmw didnt want to imply speed and lawbreaking in their proper adverts so they used the internet as an outlet for the things they'd wanted to do for ages. IE show their cars being driven how they were meant to be driven.

In what form?
Original dvd image (to burn to disc and play in a dvd player) or converted to avi?
Either way, my pc is incredibly sh*t so it will take a while.
I've also never seeded anything so you'll need to tell me how.

Actually... thinking about it... have I mentioned how incredibly sh*t my connection is?
Virgin want me to pay the previous tenants outstanding bill before they connect me and I owe bt a fortune so my connection is a splendid 28.8kbps gprs through my mobile.... Its slow, and disconnects every bloody 30 seconds.
You'd get them faster if I sent them telepathically. IE never...
Probably better to ask someone else with the dvd.

I also dont bother downloading anything on this connection, but even in the good old days when I had 8mb I still limited it.

Blatant, check this out Mate:
http://btjunkie.org/torrent/BMW-Films-T ... c8a68967c5
Try downloading a bit of software called TORRENT HARVESTER (0.7b), it's a torrent search engine, saves hunting round, plus you can see seeders/file size etc.

Or use www.torrents.to to search all the major torrent sites. A lot of them show the file size, torrent strength etc. Most seeds are listed on most of the sites, if you cant find something I find the pirate bay and isohunt seem to have a lot of rare/hard to find stuff.
