I was thinking about some brake cooling ducts for track days.

Andy,

Is this in addition to the ones there already? Or are they rubbish!?

I think you can use your standard front ducts with this kit.

If you look at your wheel liner with your wheel off you will see that it directs air toward your hub and that on the front of your shit guard(brake backing plate thing) theres a bit that sticks out to collect and direct this air to the brakes/hub.

Looks good but now imagine the car with the wheel on and the way this would affect the air getting to the brakes,it would have to turn a corner to get around the wheel to get to the brakes,so how much air is actually reaching the brakes ?

With this kit no air is wasted,it collects it from the brake duct and pipes it straight to the hub plate.

This is over kill for road use but could be ace for track days.

If i got this kit i'd leave the backing plates on and remove the tubing for road use as it could chanel rain water to your brakes if you left the tubing on.

Can't find them anywhere.

Got my mate who works at Carnoissuer to call Ferodo, and apparently they aren't making any front e30 pads anymore.

Touchee.

I would go Wilwood if I had more spare cash.

Maybe if the engine goes another stage in future (M3E36/E34M5) then I'll go for a BB conversion.

ok
ive spoke to cuircut suppliyers and the ferodos havent been discountinued the part number changed at christmas.
the 2500 sell loads about 2 3rds of a tonnes woth a week, from them alone

i said a e30 zone discount and he said yes
just ask for tim and say ur from the e30 zone
its proberly going to be 10 % i forgot to ask for sure but i did mention this figure, and he said it shouldnt be a problem .

so yeah iam getting 2500 for my golf for wednesday
so no need to group buy now should be a ongoing discount ( i hope )

but there professional and know what there selling and talking about!
