How easy it is to get a 3.5 24v from an E28 M5/E24 M635? Are they as rare as hens' teeth? Just wondering what sort of power they'd be good for if they had megasquirt, high performance cam fitted etc? Is there the same support there (from Ant etc) for modding those as there is for the M20? Bet it would be a good conversion.

And with the 3.5 conversions, does it wreck the handling of the car - does it feel like you're driving the car with a big weight in the front? What I like about the E30 is it's really light and controllable handling, wouldn't want to wreck that in the search for more straight-line acceleration/speed if I can't still have fun on roundabouts...

Yes it's the S38 engine.

Awesom engine might i add!

Plenty of swedish cars etc running well over 700hp

Based on the S14 or the other way round.

Basicly the M30 block.

Came with ITBs

And take very well to F/I
