Hi Guys,
Everytime the ignition is turned on, fuse number 10 keeps blowing.
the heater blower, petrol gauge, temp gauge, rev counter, check computer electric mirrors and reverse lights stop working.
Only the spedo works.
any ideas,
some one said check the glove dept light but the wires are all taped up.
Keeps blowing fuse

Also check the reverse light switch wiring. This often chafes through and pops fuse 10. Lift up the gear stick gaiter and inspect the wiring where it passes through to the underside of the car.

Nothing to do with glove box light - that's for indicator fuse blowing.
Reverse light wiring is the main suspect. Pull up the gaiter around the gearlever and unplug a white two pin plug and socket down by the base of the gearlever on the right hand side, and see if this stops the fuse blowing.
If it does, look under the centre of the car where the reverse light switch wiring runs from the base of the gearlever, along the linkage, to the gearbox, and you will almost certainly find that the rubber insulation has deteriorated.
