not quite mate but they were bloody bright said 100% street illegal on the boxes but dont think the plod r 2 interested in lights now used to get tugged all the time for driving with spots on in my mkII escort ( oh Sh*t showing my age now :oops: :oops: :oops: ) :bmw: :thumb:

Has anyone put up a tech article of how to do the smoked light conversion properly?

Takes a bit longer, but the results are fantastic
go to tech articles and its there under DIY smoked Hellas!!! :mad:

Seen a few lads do the same thing here in Bahrain and i also agree it is an aquired taste but mate i guarantee you one thing if you see a BM with these lights you CANNOT help but look at them!!!

An alternative way i have seen to get this sort of very dark smoked look is to get some thin aluminium or steel wire mesh (around the same size if not a little smaller then the mesh on a speaker grill) and spray it black then cut it out and stick it to the front of your lenses using black silicone or similar, that way for MOT or Plod you can simply take it off (i also believe it is legal to drtive during daylight hours with no lights in UK so light covers should not be illegal) and at night 'you simply forgot to take them off officer'

just passed mot today at 4.30 tester didnt even ask about the lights got me slip of paper so well pleased :cool: :cool:

(If I were you i'd put the schnitzer badge horizontal next to the headlights, personal opinion ofcourse)

will ave a look at the wekend m8 when im fitting my new grooved front disc colour codeing the calipers and my -60mm springs take a gut to work in the mornings who must way 20+ stone im thinking he may need to arrange a new lift when the springs are on :lol: :lol: :lol:
