I've had an MS kit sat in the study since building it up and testing it last summer, I haven't fitted it and to be honest it's because of these reasons :
I don't understand how to tune the ignition
I don't like the idea of losing the ICV with the MS1 setup I have
My circumstances have changed regarding the use of the car, it was a plaything but is now more of a family car and daily driver so I need reliability over outright perfomance.
I'm considering selling the MS unit along with the wiring loom/software/cable/stim board and the Innovate LC-1 wideband o2 controller then buying a Miller MAF conversion.
The car definately needs tuning up, fuelling is a bit iffy with it running rich at low loads and lean at the top end. I suppose a live remap would be best but I'd still have the archaic AFM restriction and I can't afford to get a Miller MAF and a live remap.
What would you guys do ?
Cheers,
Iain T

Iain, you can upgrade the DIY MS to the spec I use , PWM idle valve is catered for, as is wasted spark if you wanted to go that route ?
worth the effort dude

I personally wouldn't mess with it.
My Touring gets used by the missus everyday and runs brilliantly,I wouldn't then change something hoping to increase the performance, you know the old saying " If ain't broke .......etc"

Looks like my mind has been made up for me, Miller can't do a chip for my engine spec so squirt it is.
Ant, can you let me know what I need to do to get the PWM idle control on my setup please mate ?. I have the V3 board with MSnS+e (sp?)
Also what's the settings regarding the odd position of the 60-2 VR wheel at TDC ?
Cheers,
Iain T
