How easy (and how) is it to swap a tech2 spoiler onto a new boot lid.

I have a new boot in the right colour and doesn't need spraying but its an IS so want to put the spoiler from the sport onto it. How is it bonded? and how is it refitted?

Shouldn't be... Are you sure you've got all the nuts off? Might just be the threads catching on the holes? Or perhaps one of the studs has broken off at some point & someone's bodged it with some no-more-nails? :?

Think tech-2 spoilers have a couple of extra brackets (on the sides), but they should be obvious...

Pretty sure I'll take another look after work, but its doing my head in! Other than some idiot glueing it down (which I thought wasn't possible!) I don't really know why it won't budge!

How hard have you tried to budge it? They usually take a couple of taps (say on one of the studs with a li'l socket extension bar or something) to loosen the studs from the holes...

I'm not very good with variable manual pressure applicators, I'm too heavy handed! but I'll try with something soft first!

I'll smash it to bits with anything bigger than the end of a big screwdriver!

I have a tech 2 spoiler...and found that it has 4 mounting bolts, where as the standard one only has 2 on mine...(i think it's that, or 4 and 6)....so you may find you need to drill extra holes, or cut 2 of the bolts off....

mine is a fibre-glass replica though, so an original may be different....
