I have just read that a e34 535 throttle body can be made to fit the m20 inlet manifold with a bit of welding, Can anyone tell the bore size of the 535 TB please so I can see how much bigger it is.

Excuse the dodgy diagram, this was from ages ago.....when some one asked a similar question, i could be wrong though as might have measured the diameter inacurately ?

It is a venturi as are most BMw throttle bodies. The inlet is 66-67mm the butterfly is 63mm and the out let is 64-65mm . I just mesured this on a core i have.
It would be easier to just get a bored out m20 thorttle body then try to fab up the m30. you will have to mess with the cable and all its just not worth it.
