hi ya all zoners... my name is dan and im from the sunny old town of dagenham in essex. i have had my eye out for a nice e30 for a while now and out of no where came the perfect oppertunity..

my misses sister was offered this 87 320i cab automatic in navy blue, cream leather but beleive me where it had been sitting in a garden for about a year it was looking in a real bad way and being the wannabe wag that she is it just wasn't cutting the mustard...... then i found out the fella only wanted £800 and seeing as he was a close family friend i got on the case.... 8O

when i went to view the car my self i was amaized at how clean the shell was not a spot of rush anywhere, and under the dirt dust mould and grime the paint wasn't in bad shape either, and to my surprise this was no longer a 320i it was a 325i with only 114000 on the clock..... then the monment of truth what does it drive like...... bang it started first time no probs and the auto gear change on unreal this car was so quick.. looking round inside i could see that the interior could do with some work but i didnt see that as a problem..and the best bit the roof was mint look like it was new no leaks rips or tears its manual still looks the part haha ... i was sold and the car was bought...£700 nice

ok no tax or mot but it sailed though no problem only needed no break pads abd a number plate light bulb....

well after a good clean and two hours mopping the boot lid this is how my new pride and joy look...... sweeeeet

i was made up with how it cleaned up... does need a few bits done on the paint but it will probally get treated to a new paint job this month.... :D

Then another result came my way.. a mate thats well into drifting got a cheap set of 15" split five spokes that where in a bad was and white... nasty but to my advantage they ended up not fitting his car after him stropping out for about 20min we finally settled on me having them for £20..... nice

i set to work on them that day.... sanded, prept and sprayed silver with a hit of blue in the finish they look mint... ok for 20 quid

while the wheels were off i decided to paint the breaks in gold i know its not the coolest thing to do but they needed something cos they looked ropey...

So after the week was up my new bitch is looking in a sweet retro 80@s kinda way and i love it.............

look forward to meet all you guys and gals soon atthe next meet and as i have seen you lot all seem to know what your talking about when it comes to fixing stuff got loads of tips so far.... whats with the indicator thing... nightmare hahaha bbut still this is my new project as my 316i E36 as looking the part but i had my fun with that i just felt it was time to say goodbye.... have fun j...

Nice ride Daganham Dan, and I like the artistic use of the 'HAZCHEM' warning sign backdrop to match the 'HAZ' number-plate - subtle!

What a result to get a nice 325i Cab for under a bag 8) 8O

Cheers,

well done on the find. all you need is to get a mtech1 rear bumper to finish the kit off and then lower her a bit. And then she is sorted :)

yeah this year it will be just the rear bumper and im going to dye the leather to change the leather from the tan to a light grey......( look at furnature clinic on google... this kit is amazing i have use it on my leather sofa at home looks like a new seat, gets rid of cracks and everything...)

overall i am planning to have the car sprayed avis blue and i do have a real soft spot for the m-tec2 kit but they hold there price on here well.... i was considering lowering but i really do wanna go for some 17" or 18" wheels but not yet....

can anyone on here photoshop as i would like to see the car in avis blue.... cos at the mo im spraying an e36 in that colour so i have the paint...... could be tempted to do it asap!!!

also has anyone on here tried to fit e46 seats in the front cos i have a set spare that i may have a try of fitting....

Nice ride there Dag, especially for the money.... 8)

I agree that the T1 rear bumper will finish it off.....oh and maybe a set of centre caps too....

Only small things though considering what you actually have for the price of a few nights out these days! :P

Nice one fella....

Bruce.

P.S. I thought your name was meant like "DAG" (AkA; woof woof....Snatch geddit.... )

What a bargain! If it were mine i'd put the matching rear tech1 bumper skirt, lower it 40mm and get some borbet b's on it.

Looks like you got a bargain there mate, fair play!
Personally id remove the sideskirts and front skirt and boot spoiler, put it back to standard body.
Lower it 40mm and put a set of 15" BBS on it winkeye
Either way, cool car for a great price

Welcome to the Zone fella,

Looks like you got a steal there. You will have to bring it along to a lakeside meet some time soon.

Hope you enjoy E30 ownership.
