before you can order it you need to know the colour of the tag which determines the grade of oil ou require, as for capacity I'm not sure it should be in Haynes but I cant find it!

Its probabl a job you could do yourself if you wanted, but I don't think its an annual type service item.

1.8l i think mate, i get mine from Lagan Motor Factors in Lisburn (02892607378), Castrol SAF-XJ never had any problems with it apart from the smell of it lol

Yep ive been told Castrol SAF-XJ is perfect for 99% of diffs so thats what im going for. Hows the 2.7 running jonny? You get your liscence back?

What about gear box oil, i got a short shifter from a z3 in her, is it worth changing the oil?

Gearbox (manual) will be 1.2 litres of SAE 80w gear oil.

Yes mate got the license back :D but no car at the mo lol sent her away to get a wee tidy up (mainly the rear arches)

Check what gear bag you have mate, should be one of the getrag ones and see what grade you need. I've only replaced mine the once and the only reason I did was... it was out of the car at the time

It's like any other oil, it breaks down over time and needs changing.

Gearbox and diff oil only needs to be changed at an inspection 2 service (every other major service) so every couple of years.

Cheers,

Mines of the road at the moment too, getting lights sorted for MOT. I'll have her fully serviced and MOT'd in the next 2 weeks, hope to see your sport up around the north coast in the summer
