wrong section.. been covered loads

e30 m20 box but needs linkage modding

e36 box, fits fine, needs a low ratio diff

m40 box is useable as well apparently

I have a MANUAL 325i sport.

So, Basically for the M50 conversion I think I will need...

1. M50 Engine

2. Wiring Loom

3. Existing E30 325i Sport Manual Gearbox

4. Proper gear linkages

5. Does this sound right?

To use the standard box you need to mod the bracket a bit like this:

I'm using an M40 gearbox as that will allow you to retain the standard diff (m20 box would generally require a 3.25 or less). The M20 flywheel will also need to be skimmed about 6mm to bolt to the block correctly also
