I have a old JL 12w0.4 sub that I need to build a ported box but I haven't got a clue what size I need and what size port I need.

If any of you can help me out I will be most grateful

Many thanks

do you have the leaflet

i've a 10w3 and the port runs a 1/3 across the back and up the side

ported boxes are louder but i'd recomend a sealed boxfor better quality cause i've built both sealed and ported boxes for my sub, sealed every time

ported will be louder but the bass wont be as crisp where you get a good thight bass from a sealed box

That's the wrong one, that's for a 12w4 and he has a 12w0 4ohm.

Either make a ported box by the jl design or buy another sub to go with it and do it sealed. You'll get the same output but your pocket will be abit emptier.
